The 5th generation KRONE BiG Pack range builds on this heritage with significant upgrades in performance, comfort and reliability. Proven technologies such as the Variable Filling System (VFS), MultiBale, and the camless Active Pick-up remain at the core of the machine, now refined and enhanced to meet the demands of modern farming and contracting operations.

Designed for maximum output and consistent bale quality, the latest BiG Pack models feature a 20% longer baling chamber to produce firmer, tighter and heavier bales. Advanced electronic control systems and improved driveline components ensure smoother operation, increased efficiency and reliable performance in demanding harvesting conditions.

Key Features

Active Pick-up

Camless EasyFlow pick-up with powered feed roller ensures smooth crop flow, reduced wear and higher throughput. An optional hydraulic drive with speed control and reverse function further improves performance.

VariCut (VC) Cutting System

Available with 26 or 51 blades, providing flexible chop lengths to suit different crops and applications. An optional reversing system helps reduce blockages while maintaining efficiency.

PreChop System

Optional 96-blade chopping unit producing a nominal chop length of 21 mm, creating a visible defibration effect that improves forage quality and compaction.

VFS Variable Filling System

The Variable Filling System (VFS) uses a multi-phase feeding process with pre-compression to deliver uniform bale density, stable bale shape and maximum bale weight, even in light swaths.

Bale Chamber

A 20% longer baling chamber with full-width top plate increases bale density and improves bale shape. Electronic pressure control ensures consistent results in varying crop conditions.

KRONE V-Knotter & PowerClean

The proven double-knotter system ensures secure bale tying, while the hydraulic PowerClean fan keeps knotters clear of debris for reliable operation.

MultiBale System

Available on BiG Pack 1270 models, the MultiBale system allows up to nine small bales to be produced within one large bale, offering greater flexibility for different markets.

Driveline

Heavy-duty flywheel and gearbox-driven powertrain with overload clutches eliminate the need for shear pins, improving reliability and operator convenience.

Operation & Comfort

BiG Pack balers feature ISOBUS compatibility, colour touchscreen terminals (CCI 800 / CCI 1200), hydraulic-opening side panels, LED lighting packages and optional camera systems for improved visibility.

Silage Additive System

An optional 400-litre additive system applies fermentation or preservation additives across the pick-up width for improved forage quality.
